Ahhh...take me back to Florida! Over spring break this year we were able to take a week vacation to visit my parents in St. Petersburg area. We were blessed with the most perfect weather while we were there - sunshine everyday, no rain, mid 80's...it was beautiful!! But it all has to come to end sometime, right? This time (as we've been there multiple times now) our close friends, Dana and Dustin, also made the trip with us so our vacation was that much more fun! Their son, Jamye, who is close in age to Aubrey, our oldest, had a blast playing together at the beach. Jayda is only 2.5, and though she continues to get braver and braver every time we go to the beach, didn't venture very far in the water so it was nice that Aubrey and Jamye had each other. We've made it a point to not really have set plans for when we are down there because then it feels as though we are always running around and not "relaxing." We spent nearly everyday enjoying the beach. Couldn't ask for much more than that! We also really enjoy fishing! It's so much more of a thrill fishing in the ocean because you honestly have no idea what is or could be on the end of your line. So we did plenty of fishing as well. We caught a handful of Amberjacks, Jonathan caught a Cobia (which we found are highly protected in the area and difficult to catch), a couple of Pufferfish (happened to be the first fish Jamye ever caught!), and a handful of other small fish. As it turns out, the Easter Bunny knew we were staying with Grandma (the girls now find it funny to call her Grammy, haha) and Papa!!! Aubrey, Jayda and Jameson were thrilled to see a bowl of candy on the table and find their Easter baskets! Ok, maybe not Jamo, but the girls had no problem going through his basket for him. :) He even hid eggs outside in the yard for the kids to find! As a side note, after uploading over 100 photos, I've realized that I wasn't in a single picture! Make sense since I'm always the one on the other side of the camera... So I've decided to add a bunch of the images that I took with my phone at the bottom of the page as well. Enjoy! Photos from my iPhone...
